The Department of Mechanical Engineering established in the year 1995, started with intake of 60 students and it has been increased to 240 students. The Master of Engineering (M.E) CAD /CAM program is focused to prepare graduate students in the multi-disciplinary profession on computer aided design and manufacturing for the challenges and opportunities that abound in modern technology and society.
The Department has been recognized as a Research Centre by Anna University. Our faculties provide training programs for various organizations. Our students have won prizes and awards from SAE events like BAJA, e-BAJA, Effi-Cycle and Solaris, Go-Kart. The department awarded best Industry Institute Collaboration (CII award) in the year 2015 and 2020.
