IEEE Computer Society is a professional society of IEEE. Its purpose and scope is "to advance the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing science and technology" and the "professional standing of its members." The computer society is the largest of 39 technical societies organized under the IEEE Technical Activities Board.
IEEE COMPUTER SOCIETY - students branch in Sri Sai Ram engineering college was inaugurated on 17th February 2017 for opening the door to opportunities and for developing the professional identities of the students.
The main aim of the education is to share it! So as a part of it, an educational Outreach Programme to Govt. higher secondary school was organised by the IEEE-CS on 1st March 2017. The main objective of the program was to make the school students aware of the Microsoft Office.
As a part of the IEEE-CS activities an industrial visit was organised to NLC limited (Neyveli) on 22nd March 2017. The main objective of the program was to create awareness among all the students about the lignite and mining.
As a part of the IEEE-CS activities an industrial visit was organised to TCS (Siruseri, Chennai) on 17th July 2017. The main objective of the program was educating the students about the current trends in IT sector and to create awareness among all the students about the IT Industry and its working sector.
The main aim of the education is to share it! So as a part of it an educational Outreach Programme was organised to RCM school,Dharksat by the IEEE-CS on 19th July 2017. The main objective of the program was to provide a clear cut career guidance to the 12th standard school students.
To create an awareness about IEEE among the young buds, the IEEE-CS students chapter took an initiative by organizing an awareness program about IEEE on 8th August 2017 for the second year students of the all branches.
IEEE day is a day in which the engineers and IEEE members will gather together to share their technical ideas. On 4th October 2017, IEEE day was celebrated with the theme of “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow” and some contests like technical quiz, technical connections and an online event (doodle art) were also conducted for all the branch students.
In recent trends one of the most famous and valuable technology is Internet Of Things(IOT). Three days workshop on IOT for the IEEE Computer Society members along with the students of Information Technology was organised in Sri Sai Ram engineering college and complete practicum training was given by the professionals.
The main aim of the education is to share it! So as a part of it, an educational Outreach Programme to Govt. higher secondary school was organised by the IEEE-CS on 13th February 2018 for 6th 7th and 8th standard school students. The main objective of the program was to make the school students aware of the Paint and Microsoft Office.
For the young developers it is necessary to know about UI design. In the way of educating them and bringing awareness to them a hands-on workshop was organised for the IEEE CS students on 10th March 2018.
To enlighten the minds of the students with benefits of IEEE organization, IEEE-CS Students branch has organized a seminar to explore the member benefits in IEEE by Mr.Ashvanth, Assistant system engineer, TCS on 6th September, 2018. Followed by the seminar Mr.Eniyan, an active IEEE member and Vice chairman SBC shared his experience with IEEE organization and his trips to meetings and conferences with the students.
Students for the INTERNSMELA were selected based on the skillrack test. More than 14 startup companies came to our college to recruit the deserving candidates on 28thJanuary 2019. This gave the students a great experience on how to learn and develop new skills and also gave an exposure to face interviews. Finally, the meritorious students were selected and provided with an offer letter.
For the young developers it is necessary to know about the data analytics and data visualization. In the way of educating them and bringing awareness to them a two days hands-on workshop was organised on Feb 26th and 27th for the IEEE CS students on R programming.

The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter organized a program on “IEEE AWARENESS” on 1stJuly 2019.The main motive of the program was to notify the students with the benefits of IEEE organization like networking opportunities, career development tools, and many other exclusive benefits .The students were motivated to take part in various IEEE competitions and volunteering activities so as to enhance their professional skillsets.
The main aim of the education is to share it! So as a part of it an educational Outreach Programme was organised to RCM school,Dharksat by the IEEE-CS on 18thJuly 2019. The main objective of the program was to notify the 11th standard students with the basics of C programming. As a fun part of the program, a quiz was organised and the winners were also awarded.
